Matt Wright to the Crows
North Adelaide Football Club's young star Matt Wright was rewarded for all his hard work when being picked up today by Adelaide FC in the 2009 AFL Rookie Draft.
Season 2009 was a breakthrough season for the 20 year old tough inside midfielder, Matt finished 3rd in the Barrie Robran Medal, won the NAFC Young Player of the Year and also represented SA.
After some bad luck leading into previous drafts it is fitting that Matt can finally chase that AFL dream, the fact that Matt can develop in the AFL system while also continuing to play for North Adelaide is a great boost for the Club heading into season 2010.
We wish Matt success as he enters to world of the AFL.
North Adelaide had four players drafted into the AFL in Season 2010, with Tapscott (Melbourne), Craig (Adelaide) and O'Brien (Brisbane) all being selected in the AFL Draft.
