I won the raffle on Saturday and had a nice breakfast in Prospect on Wednesday, after collecting the prize, with Macka (aka ' the cocks') where we reminisced on the great day we all had at the footy on Saturday plus our colts days while playing for the Roosters in the 60s. Another good win by the boys. Congrats to all players and thanks for the raffle organisers. Big year ahead.

Hi Smithy,

Thanks for writing in.

We are glad you enjoyed your prize and congratulations on winning!

How do you pick a best player after Saturday's excellent team effort against the Eagles?
Administration
Everyone played very well. It was a great team effort and we are all very proud of the boys!

ROOSTER RAFFLE, was is won? We were over by the scoreboard and could not hear a thing from the PA system. Crowd attendance, started off looking poor, but added through the game. What was the final head count, we seem to be having good crowds at home.
Administration
Hi Peter,

The winning raffle ticket is yet to be collected. The winning number was 36806 .
Attendance on Saturday was 3131. So a really good turn out!
Hopefully it stays like this all year!

Thanks

The new feature on the website "Tubby's Tales" is a great initiative and who knew Tubby had a sense of humour!

In all seriousness, and I am sure I speak on behalf of most members / supporters, the NAFC website is by far and away the best in the SANFL. The fact we have this forum "The Virtual Runner" to ask questions, log complaints etc. and get timely and open answers from all at the club is great. Well done to all in Admin at Prospect and special thanks to Megan for all the great work with the website!

Thanks Tony. We appreciate your ongoing support and it's great to get some good feedback.

I have had this idea floating around in my mind for some time and felt it was time to get some feed back to see if my idea is feasible.
League coaches often wish they had a fourth person sitting on the bench. Well my idea is to promote a player who has already played at least 50% of the reserves game and played at least 15minutes of the last quarter. The reason being some clubs would sit a player in the dug out for the whole last quarter to save him for the main game.
This idea is to help if 3 injuries occur during the main game and the players are definitely unable to return to the game.
The idea would need some fine-tuning but could work. It would give the SANFL.something to think about.

Thanks Tony. The reality is that not all the Clubs want 4 on the bench at present (we are in favour of having 4 on the bench), and until the Clubs are in favour, we'll stay with 3. However, I think you may be on the right track, or as they do in the VFL, play an under 18 as a spare player on the bench in case of injury issues, therefore not impacting on salary cap etc.

The current membership (2393) is looking better every day, Would be great if it reaches 2500 by mid-season. It behoves all current members to publicise and promote the club at every opportunity.
Administration
Thanks Jeff, We hope that it reaches the 2500 mark too!

Here's one from left field. With future possible changes to the SANFL teams if the AFL choose to send Adelaide Crows and Port Power reserves to the VFL, can the SANFL bring in 3 SA country teams (eg from Southern League or elsewhere) into the competition, to have a 10 team competition ? It would sort out the issue of byes and it might also stem the drift of NAFC players to the country and Amateur Adelaide League teams.
Clearly, much consultation with other leagues would need to occur; however, I'm passionate about seeing the continuation of a healthy SAFL and NAFC.
Administration
Thanks for your email. That is definitely something to look at!

Looking forward to seeing Tim Delvins back in the red and white. It is said adversity is character building. Well Tim's must be very well built by now. All the best Tim.
Football Operations
Thanks for your message. Everyone at North is very much looking to the return of Tim Delvins.

Great team effort on Saturday helped us to be "Lucky" again. Can you tell me when Delvins and Siggins will be on the park. Also the injury time for Gallman and Ivens. At last we seem to have some depth and the seconds also was a top game. Doing us proud this year.
Football Operations
It was a very good team performance on the weekend.
Delvins and Siggins (barring injury) will be available after the state game bye.
Gallman is approx. 9 weeks away and Luke Ivens is currently diagnosed as 3-5 weeks.
Our depth has improved this year with the reserves developing some good young talent.
Robert
Is the online scoreboard always commentated by the same person? Last weeks game had a distinctly different tone. Just curious.
Administration
Hi Robert,

Thank you for writing in. The online scoreboard is always commentated by the same person.

Thanks
